Layers.
The shaky freehand is where my work begins. Experimenting with layers is how I obtain my best results — a process that can become a rabbit hole of frustration, but with just the right depth, I am able to capture the details that matter. San Francisco architecture carries a unique charm and particular aesthetic standards all its own. My cityscapes seek to capture specific moments in time, sketched by hand and brought to life through layers, while preserving the integrity of our city.

Patience.
I wouldn't consider myself particularly skillful, though I do obsess over a single style of work until I've broken new ground. Would you call it patience, persistence, or maybe even stubbornness? Larger multimedia works may take months or even years to complete. The joy in it all is much like a really good book — you pick up right where you left off. Lines, bold colors, and life. These are my ingredients.
